Donations are an intregal part of making services available to children and families across socio-economic situations.
Please consider making a tax-deductable monetary donation to Charis Foundation's Triangle Floortime Therapy program to help make scholarships available for families who cannot afford the treatment that will change the course of their child's life. Autism is at an all-time high in our country with rates estimated at 1 in every 88 children in the United States and 1 in every 70 children in North Carolina. As a society, we must address the needs of our community in effort to avoid the natural consequences of leaving this serious developmental problem untreated.
By targeting early intervention in children with Autism and other emotional, cognitive and developmental challenges, we are increasing the liklihood of having high-functioning, socially-appropriate, and automomous adults in our community. This treatment approach is rooted in the theory and practice of Dr. Stanley Greenspan and the DIR/Floortime approach (a research supported treatment that encourages healthy brain development in children). Triangle Floortime Therapy provides a type of relational, developmental play treatment that has limited availability in our area. It is time we provide another choice in treatment approach for families in the Triangle area. Join us in our mission to bring this relational focused, play-based developmental therapy to the lives of children diagnosed with Autism in our community.
